Our Legacy and Future

Established 2010 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, the farm operation of Kevin and Gina Buchanan has made excellence an everyday occurrence.  Set in the picturesque rolling farmland in the community of Eubank, the Buchanan’s have established one of the premier Registered Black Angus Cattle operations in the Southern United States.  The herd was built with the unequaled stock of Registered Black Angus from the famed Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.  Kevin and Gina’s personal touch and attention to detail have made the Buchanan Farm a working showplace that produces some of the best hay and Registered Black Angus Cattle in America.

Kevin and Gina have a vision for the future.  In addition to raising world class Buchanan Registered Black Angus cattle, they plan on building an event venue and agricultural destination.  The Buchanan Estate will be an event center that will be in high demand. It will feature unrivaled views of the Kentucky countryside, and be a destination suitable for all kinds of corporate, personal, or family events.  Weddings and corporate outings are just the beginning. You may even see a saddlebred horse or two, as back in the day of the Minton Hickory Farm. Come stay, dine, and even have a massage at the elegant spa that will be as opulent as it is relaxing.

HISTORY

A History of Class

The Tradition in the Buchanan Family is steeped in Southeast Kentucky heritage. Kevin’s family began on the Minton Hickory Farm, known to be a Championship horse farm in Knox County Kentucky. The Buchanan’s were known in Southeast Appalachia for producing some of the best hay, cattle, and tobacco. Kevin’s father Lloyd Buchanan retired from farming in the early 1990’s.  Kevin took a position as the family resource and youth services center coordinator and worked in the school system for 28 years.

In the spring of 2010, he and Gina reestablished their farming legacy in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Kevin and Gina Buchanan began a pure bred angus cattle and hay operation.
